Description

Linus Pauling (1901-1994) is the only person to have won two unshared Nobel Prizes. One prize was for his groundbreaking research in biochemistry, and the other for his anti-nuclear war activism. But he made mistakes too; like his ugly support of 'negative eugenics' and his unsubstantiated claims about Vitamin C megadosing. Let's review his career! Then, Scott Miller tells us about the four planets, and the meteor showers, stars, constellations and nebulae we can see in the night sky in January.

‘Bench Talk: The Week in Science’ is a weekly radio program that airs on WFMP Louisville FORward Radio 106.5 FM (forwardradio.org) every Monday at 7:30 pm, Tuesday at 11:30 am, and Wednesday at 7:30 am.
